Kindergarten at Dublin City Schools
Kindergarten at Dublin City schools
Kindergarten registration for Dublin City Schools for the 2023-24 school year will begin in February.
How the process works
New kindergarten students must turn 5 years old by Sept. 30 of the year that they start school.
All parents must have a phone conference appointment scheduled with an enrollment specialist.
Dublin city schools do not have a full day Kindergarten program but, instead, offer half day options: One in the morning (9:10a - 11:50a) and one in the afternoon (1:00p - 3:40p). Parents choose one of the two options and are notified of the decision by Dublin City schools in June.

How the Acton Academy Columbus Spark Studio is different
Our Spark studio will have only a full day option. The curriculum will be based on an integrated approach combining aspects of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf and Spark Play (inspired by Anji Play).
The purpose of the Spark Studio at Acton is to equip very young learners with skills of independence and mindfulness, thus building the foundation for further empowerment and freedom.
This is accomplished through the integration of the Montessori method, a project-based learning approach inspired by Reggio Emilia, a loose-parts play learning design inspired by a Waldorf education, and the Hero’s Journey. A Spark studio looks like happy children pushing boundaries in a safe environment designed for them. See what a typical day might look like here.
