At Acton Academy Columbus, no two weeks are ever the same. Each week, students work on different projects that are tailored to their interests and passions. Some weeks, the class may go out into the community to learn and explore, while other weeks may be spent primarily outdoors. Additionally, the school celebrates holidays and birthdays from around the world, adding to the diverse and dynamic learning experience. This variety ensures that every week is unique and exciting, keeping students engaged and motivated in their learning.

Just this week we:

• Celebrated Chinese New Year by cooking Chow Mein

• Visited the Ohio History Center on MLK Day for some community service

• Had a blast working on a STEM project building a helicopter

• Laughed at ourselves

• Used our STEM skills to build a contraption to move an object

• Played street hockey with sticks and a bottle cap

• Worked on building an online game

• Built an offline game based on chance / luck

• Collaborated on a Calendar project

• Painted during Free Time

• Got ourselves wet outdoors in a creek

• Made birthday cards for family members
