Fair
Where young entrepreneurs launch real startups, sell real products, and discover what they're truly capable of.
A marketplace built by kids, for everyone.
At the one-day marketplace, kids develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy β then open their doors to the public. It's not a school project. It's a real business, for one amazing day.
Now in its 6th year, the Columbus Children's Business Fair has grown into one of central Ohio's most exciting youth entrepreneurship events.
From idea to opening day
in a few simple steps.
Kids pick a product or service they're passionate about β handmade goods, food, art, a skill, you name it.
They design their logo, name their company, set their prices, and create a marketing strategy.
Weeks of prep, production, and planning go into making their booth and products ready for the big day.
On fair day, they set up their booth and sell to the public β real customers, real transactions, real pride.
Every kid. Every idea.
Every ambition.
The fair is open to all Kβ12 students β you don't have to attend Acton Academy to participate.
Any Kβ12 student with a business idea can register to run a booth. Sell products, offer services, or share your passion.
Come shop, explore, and cheer on the next generation of business leaders. Admission is free for visitors.
Businesses and individuals can sponsor the fair or volunteer their time to help make the event a success.
Six weeks to build
a real business.
Each year, students at Acton Academy Columbus spend up to six weeks diving deep into what it means to build a company β from business fundamentals to the details of finance, marketing, operations, and sales. The fair is the grand finale.
Real life skills are learned through real world challenges.
The Children's Business Fair isn't a simulation β it's the real thing. Kids make real decisions, talk to real customers, and walk away with real confidence.
