Build the Tribe Quest

Our first quest was “Build the Tribe” with the primary goal to get our elementary school-learner contract completed.

Our first quest was also filled with teambuilding activities and a large variety of STEM projects, including:

  • Building a paper mache volcano

  • Creation of a zip line to transport a car

  • Engineering a spaghetti tower that could hold a marshmallow

  • Engineering a paper tower to hold a can of beans

We also spent a lot of time outdoors at Coffman park and the skateboard park. We took a visit to the police station in appreciation of the police officers for Labor day.

We also got our enrichment program underway when Master Woo came to visit us to give our Eagles some life lessons through Taekwondo.

We held our exhibition in early October where the Eagles signed the first Acton Academy Columbus contract. The contract is a key part of building the tribe. The Eagles are now bound to each other through the contract.

The Eagles worked for five weeks to draft, revise and prepare the contract for it to be signed. It was a moment that was really exciting for the Eagles and their parents to witness. Our little microschool is now officially underway with the Eagle contract signed!
