Core Skills Learning
Each morning, learners spend 2-3 hours on core skills: Math, Reading, Writing, Civilization, Foreign Language.
Learners at Acton are intrinsically motivated by curiosity and inspired by what their peers are reading and talking about. Whether they’re in Math Power Hour or in a D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) session, the focus remains on learning rather than grades and test scores.

Our students are focused on completing their individual goals and mastering topics using adaptive education software.
Points and Badges
Progress on core skills is measured through a system of points and badges for topics mastered. There are no grades, report grades, or exams.
